In the 1800s, Hana Town was fueled by the sugar cane industry. Sugar plantations were wildly successful, and the daily journey from Pa’ia Town to Hana was completed along the Hana Highway, a winding road with over 600 curves!

Today, Hana Town is a small community welcoming visitors who want to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of Maui’s legendary destination.
