Oh, Venice! I went there in February, during the carnival, the most elegant I've ever seen. I loved all the bridges and channels. The Piazza San Marco is a magical place.
I recommend everybody to go to Venice

No me gusto demasiado venecia, quizás esperaba demasiado, pero bueno, la verdad es que tiene su encanto.
If we put the history, buildings, reputation..or all amazing things aside...I would say that I was completely dissapointed. When I was there in July 2006 ...it was very dirty..I mean, channels and the sea around the town. Of course, the river Thames is not also translucent but you can't see garbage in Thames but in Venice you can...or at least you could...I hope now there is someone who takes care of all this. Otherwise, the souvenirs, buildings, little streets with signs and posters, the glass, little workshops and bigger ones.... there is no such place on the planet :)
Venecia tiene muchas vistas, pero a mi me cautivó la Plaza de San Marcos. Pasé un día en la ciudad y prácticamente no salí de la plaza. Y me da la impresión de que no me la acabé toda, que me quedaron rincones por descubrir imágenes por grabar en la retina. Es con mucha razón uno de los lugares más singulares y bellos del mundo.
Venecia es una ciudad con encanto. Fuimos en Noviembre, y los canales no huelen para nada tan mal como dicen. Tal vez en verano sea peor. Eso si, todo caro, pero merece la pena verla. Me gustó mucho. Ojo con los italianos que son muy vivos... Por cierto, el trasporte ferroviario funciona muy bien. No te pierdas la visita a la isla de los muertos (el cementerio). Es impresionante.
Pedida de mano
La famosa ciudad de los canales. Pensé que estaría más visitada, pero se ve que aún algunos viajeros no conocen wolpy, jeje. Los al rededores de Venecia no recomendaria visitarlos (los que no estan en su isla central) tampoco te encontrarás cosas muy interesantes. La plaza San Marcos es una parada obligada, así como un paseo en Góndola por los canales (mejor montar en un grupo grande por los precios).
I visited Venice in a student trip, I was much younger.
I remember the carnival, it's different from every other carnival I have seen. People were wearing sleek costumes and everything was colorful!
Some people were performing music in the streets and other people were painting children's faces with carnival themes, it was really beautiful.

Un viaje fabuloso con la gratya compañía de dos de mis hermanas. La tradición de máscaras y vestidos de época continúa y cada vez se agrega más gente a esta, inlcuyendo muchos turistas. Por unos días la ciudad se convierte en todo un escenario que puede satisfacer ampliamente al más exigente de los cinematógrafos, fotógrafos o viajeros de todas clases. Los lugares que siempre están ahí, pero sobretodo la gente y el ambiente frío convierten este evento en una verdadera experiencia.
