Bangalore India

In March 2004 I visited the Indian Institue of Technology (http://ipc.iisc.ernet.in/index.html) and presented a lecture: "Metallocenes with Cp Ring-Fused to Chalcogen Heterocycles: Synthesis and Polymerization Results". I stayed at the visitng professor's guest house on campus for ~ 3 days. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and bright, the food was really great. I would love to go back and stay for a longer period of time, maybe do some studies there......
Bangalore was easy to get around and I did some shopping in the early evenings in the city center. There was a lot of "hustle and bustle" on the streets but I never felt unsafe and I walked around the downtown area for a good while, just taking in the sights and sounds of the locals and the culture....
